#1. Wular Lake –

The largest lake of India is situated in Jammu Kashmir. This is the longest lake among all lakes in Asia. The water is green in this lake. You can find birds, fish, etc. here in this lake. #2. Loktak Lake –

This is the only floating lake in India. This is situated in Northern portion of India and considered as most clean water lake. This is located in the district of Bishnupur. Loktak word has some meaning – “stream the end”. Occupations of many Manipur’s people depend on this lake. #4. Dal Lake –

The first largest lake of Jammu Kashmir is Wula Lake, and the second largest is Dal Lake. Undoubtedly this is one of the beautiful lake of India. The lake is situated in Srinagar. Apart from its beauty Dal Lake is famous for fishing, harvesting plants, cultivating weed, etc. Goddess Durga is here on the east side of this lake. #5. Pichola Lake –

Pichola is one of the beautiful artificial lakes in Udaipur. The name is such because of situating near Picholi village. In this lake, you can find islands like – Jag Niwas, Jag Mandir, etc. Sunset boat ride, walking tour, shopping, photography, visiting in Cafe and restaurants, etc. are the things you can do here. This may be the best destination on your holiday.

#6. Chilka Lake –

Chilka Lake

This is the largest saltwater lake in India, situated in Orissa. Though the water is not as salty as seawater, little salty than normal water. This is positioned near the coastal area, so people mostly call it a coastal lake. Transient birds are the best attraction of this lake. Though you can do boating, fishing, etc.

#7. Upper lake –

Bhopal

Another beautiful artificial lake of India is Upper Lake, situated in Bhopal. This is the largest lake among all the artificial lakes of Asia. Another name of this lake is Baba Talab.
