Steps in Making Cast Metal LettersĀ

The first step in producing a cast metal letter is to melt the metal, then pour it into a moulded cast. After that, it is shot blasted and belt sanded for the finishing touches. The metal letters are turned over, drilled and tapped. The letter is then blasted with beads to ensure smoothness and precision. It is given a nice stroke of sandpaper to create a natural satin finish. It is then placed on a rack and coated with a two-part hardened acrylic polyurethane coat. Then it is placed in an oven to bake. The finished product is a strong, solid, and moulded cast metal letter.

As mentioned earlier, cast metal letters are either made from aluminum or bronze. In terms of durability, bronze is better. Aluminum is also more expensive than bronze. Nonetheless, both are strong, hard, and exhibit corrosion resistance. Also, they are painted or chemically treated.
